A mammalian melting pot of social paradigms, Disney’s
ZOOTOPIA is 2016’s first awards-friendly flick – a brilliantly scripted,
gorgeously animated and cunningly charismatic treat for all ages! Easily the best beat-cop-bunny-meets-feisty-fox-buddy-movie
I’ve ever seen… A cadre of cuddly
critters and an easy-to-manage message of not judging a book by its cover will
undoubtedly be the big takeaways for young ones, while an engagingly
sharp-witted and unpreachy, social commentary deep dive in to race, equality,
diversity, stereotypes and discrimination form it’s uncluttered core. Plus top-notch voice work and eye-popping
world building are in play to soundly round out this crowd-pleasing package…
It’s a vividly animated detective adventure that pulls you in from the
get-go. And it’s actually the first
time, in a long time, that all five members of my family (ages five to…my age;
older than five) left the movies together on the exact same, praising-to-the-heavens
page. ZOOTOPIA is a soon-to-be-classic –
a high-minded, heart-and-soul-fueled delight that will have moviegoers flocking
like sheep to experience. Don’t get left
out in the cold.

Story: The
modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a melting pot where animals from every
environment live together-a place where no matter what you are, from the
biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when rookie
Officer Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a
police force of big, tough animals isn't so easy. Determined to prove herself,
she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with
a fast-talking, scam-artist fox to solve the mystery. (Walt Disney Animation)
