WANDERLUST (B+)

Bottom Line: A willing, able and comedically gifted cast takes this skeleton-thin, little-to-say story and injects it with life, love and laughter…as well as hallucinatory high jinks, shockingly over-the-top vulgarity and gratuitous free-spirit nudity. For a movie that barely showed up on my radar as recently as a week ago – WANDERLUST proved to be a riotously raunchy, gut-busting blast!

Starring: Paul Rudd, Jennifer Aniston, Malin Akerman, Alan Alda and Justin Theroux
Directed by: David Wain (ROLE MODELS)
Rated: R
Running time: 98 minutes
Story: George and Linda are an overextended, stressed out Manhattan couple. After George is downsized out of his job, they find themselves with only one option: to move in with George's awful brother in Atlanta. On the way there, George and Linda stumble upon Elysium, an idyllic community populated by colorful characters who embrace a different way of looking at things. Money? It can't buy happiness. Careers? Who needs them? Clothes? Only if you want them.Is Elysium the fresh start George and Linda need? Or will the change of perspective cause more problems than it solves? (Universal Pictures)
