Story: Set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, and based on the book by Cressida Cowell, the action comedy tells the story of Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn’t exactly fit in with his tribe's longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccup's world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges he and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view. (Dreamworks Animation)
Rated: PG for sequences of intense action and some scary images and brief mild language
Bottom Line: The story is unshockingly familiar – but, this movie still dazzles! Vivid animation, fun characters, exciting action and it puts you in the what’s-it-like-to-fly-in-3D seat almost as well as anything we saw in AVATAR. It may be a little too intense for younger viewers but HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON soars!
Hi Brian,
ReplyDeleteSo do you think this is too intense for a 5 year old boy?
I'd say...probably, yeah (or maybe even just barely). Kind of depends on what they've already been exposed to...
ReplyDeleteApologies, not much of an answer for you there.
