Quick Thoughts with BTMG
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler star as sisters tasked with cleaning out their childhood bedroom prior to the selling of their family home. Sporadic laughs abound, but the goofy and good-hearted first half quickly gives out under the weight of lazy writing, uninspired cameos and fairly uncreative party-hearty hijinks. It’s terrific fun watching Tina Fey play against type, but these two comedy gems deserve more than a sub-Adam Sandler-like story. Oh brother, do I wish Sisters was better.
