END OF WATCH (B+)

Bottom Line: A gritty, multicultural, behind-the-curtain, 5-0 ride-along through the grimy streets of Los Angeles. Fueled by adrenaline and it's not-knowing-what-lurks-behind-any-given-corner nature – this urban, street smart, point-of-view caper delivers action, drama, humor and heart. The brutal violence may sometimes be as hard to watch as the coincidental nature of the narrative is hard to swallow – but the sharp dialogue, tightly wound scenarios and winning chemistry of Gyllenhaal and Pena will make you gladly want to walk this flick’s beat.

Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Pena, Anna Kendrick and America Ferrara
