HORRIBLE BOSSES (B+)

Starring: Jason Bateman, Jason Sudekis, Charlie Day, Kevin Spacey, Colin Ferell, Jennifer Aniston and Jamie Foxx

Directed by: Seth Gordon (KING OF KONG and FOUR CHRISTMASES)
Rated: R
Story: For Nick, Kurt and Dale, the only thing that would make the daily grind more tolerable would be to grind their intolerable bosses into dust. Quitting is not an option, so, with the benefit of a few-too-many drinks and some dubious advice from a hustling ex-con, the three friends devise a convoluted and seemingly foolproof plan to rid themselves of their respective employers...permanently. There's only one problem: even the best laid plans are only as foolproof as the brains behind them. (Warner Bros)

Bottom Line: Don’t let other critics paragraph you to death with details - Hollywood kept it simple this time and in doing so brings us a hilariously ridiculous, rude and raunchy movie with a stellar, comedic cast and a breezy, whip-smart script that clocks in at 97 minutes and, therefore, never overstays its welcome (like the two-hour BRIDESMAIDS – although I still loved that movie).  HORRIBLE BOSSES is crude, crass and goofily sophomoric but it keeps you engaged and repeatedly delivers the comedic goods.  I enjoyed it, it was fun, now all I want to do is move on and not see a tired, retread, cash-grab sequel (HB2: HORRIBLER BOSSES?) in a couple of years – yes, I’m disapprovingly  lookin’ at you HANGOVER 2.
