YOUR HIGHNESS (D)

Starring: Danny McBride, James Franco, Natalie Portman and Zooey Deschanel

Directed by: David Gordon Green (THE PINEAPPLE EXPRESS)
Rated: R
Story: Throughout history, tales of chivalry have burnished the legends of brave, handsome knights who rescue fair damsels, slay dragons and conquer evil. But behind many a hero is a good-for-nothing younger brother trying just to stay out of the way of those dragons, evil and trouble in general. Danny McBride and James Franco team up for an epic comedy adventure set in a fantastical world--"Your Highness." As two princes on a daring mission to save their land, they must rescue the heir apparent's fiancée before their kingdom is destroyed. (Universal Pictures)

Bottom Line: Critics will mock but the frat boys will flock! This medieval stoner comedy is a somewhat noble idea that’s ultimately bogged down by too much vulgarity and not enough creative thought – and that vulgarity, by the way (which I usually applaud when done correctly) gets old after about 11 minutes. YOUR LOW-NESS is a minimally funny, often flat, rarely involving, mostly shocking and always raunchy crusade thru the pre-summer release doldrums of April.
