Starring: Bruce Willis, Tracy Morgan and Seann William Scott

Bottom Line: Director Kevin Smith tries to make this an homage film to some of the great Hollywood, buddy/cop movies - but it works so hard to try and be what it’s trying to be that it misses the mark almost completely. No heart, little soul and a few chuckle-worthy moments (when there should have been more) make sitting thru COP OUT truly feel like you’re serving time.

Starring: Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zoe Saldana, Chris Evans, Idris Elba and Jason Patric

Bottom Line: An A-TEAM wannabe meets MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE mish-mash of over-the-top action, ludicrous plot points, eye-rolling mayhem and solidly entertaining character work by all the actors involved! For a mind-numbing yet enjoyable, non-groundbreaking, little shoot ‘em up with B-level actors doing an A-level job – THE LOSERS is a winner.

Starring: Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning and Michael Shannon

Bottom Line: THE RUNAWAYS are chained to their predictable rise-and-fall storyline – but the filmmakers took what they had to work with and delivered a solidly-acted, vividly-told and energetically-paced rock ballad of a movie. Oh, and listen to the title track ‘Cherry Bomb’. Now, try and get it out of your head (without driving your significant other crazy).
