A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (did not see)

Starring: Jackie Earle Haley

Story: Nancy, Kris, Quentin, Jesse and Dean all live on Elm Street. At night, they're all having the same dream--of the same man, wearing a tattered red and green striped sweater, a beaten fedora half-concealing a disfigured face and a gardener's glove with knives for fingers. And they're all hearing the same frightening voice...one by one, he terrorizes them within the curved walls of their dreams, where the rules are his, and the only way out is to wake up. (Warner Bros.)

Rated: R for strong bloody horror violence, disturbing images, terror and language

Bottom Line: Hey, let’s remake another classic horror movie! I didn’t get a chance to see it – but hear it’s awful. The rules are the same – lots of blood, screaming teens and the only way to maybe keep Freddy Krueger at bay is to not fall asleep. That’s gonna be kind of hard, from what I hear, for both the characters in the movie as well as the audience in the theater.
