Starring: Miley Cyrus, Bobby Coleman, Liam Hemsworth, Kelly Preston and Greg Kinnear

Story: The Last Song is set in a small Southern beach town where an estranged father gets a chance to spend the summer with his reluctant teenaged daughter, who'd rather be home in New York. He tries to reconnect with her through the only thing they have in common—music—in a story of family, friendship, secrets and salvation, along with first loves and second chances. (Touchstone Pictures)

Rated: PG for thematic material, some violence, sensuality and mild language

Bottom Line: A dime-a-dozen movie hand-crafted for the lovey-dovey hearts of 13-year old girls everywhere. It’s the same old story of family, friendship, secrets, salvation, first loves and second chances – yeah, I’d like to give the filmmakers a second chance to make a more engaging movie. Wait, no I wouldn’t…
