YEAR ONE (D-)

Starring: Jack Black, Michael Cera, Oliver Platt, David Cross and Hank Azaria

Story: When a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers are banished from their primitive village, they set off on an epic journey through the ancient world. (Sony Pictures)

Rated: PG-13

Bottom line: A ridiculously envisioned, badly written, poorly directed and horrendously edited movie that successfully takes a semi-funny, 90-second commercial and turns it into a 90-minute, three-chuckles-tops, keep-checking-your-watch-til-it’s-over fest. So dull and uninteresting it’ll make you think one of two things: Why didn’t I see THE HANGOVER again or I should have thrown my money in to the wind and ran face first in to a wall for 90-minutes. I’m pretty sure it’s called YEAR ONE because it looks and feels a lot like the kind of movie a one year old would make…
