Story: A successful financial executive has more time for his blackberry than his seven-year-old daughter, but when he has a crisis of confidence and his career starts going down the drain, however, he finds the solution to all his problems in his daughter’s imaginary world. (Paramount Pictures)
Rated: PG
Bottom line: Syrupy-sweet, unoriginal and predictable, IMAGINE THAT has exactly two redeeming qualities: It made me laugh more than a few times and it didn’t make me throw up in my mouth. It will, however, get buried at the box office by the family-friendlier and infinitely superior Pixar masterpiece UP. Eddie Murphy delivers yet another sub-par movie?! IMAGINE THAT…indeed!
